Meetings
Meeting are held on Wednesdays from 7:30PM to 8:30PM at the Vienna Presbyterian Church, 124 Park St NE, Vienna, VA during the school year and at Nottoway Park during the summer.
Troop History
Troop 152 was chartered in July 1933 under the sponsorship of the Vienna Parent-Teacher Association. We started with 7 scouts and have continued to grow ever since.
In the early 1950s The Vienna Presbyterian Church assumed sponsorship and became the Troop's Chartering organization. The Troop has earned the Scouting Journey to Excellence Gold Award (Top 10%) the last several years.
Leadership Philosophy
The Troop is boy led while being adult supervised and managed. The Scout Patrol Leaders of the troop identify, plan and organize the Troop activities with adult supervision. These leaders meet monthly with the Scoutmasters in the Patrol Leadership Council.
Troop Composition
Troop 152 is typically made up of between 60 to 75 registered scouts. This size enables the Troop to participate in many activities with sufficient scout participation/leadership and adult oversight.
Adult Leadership
The Troop has a Scoutmaster and approximately 15 Assistant Scoutmasters. Many of them have ten or more years’ experience with Boy Scouts and have attended all the High Adventure camps and several of the local camps. There are dozens of other parents who help in critical support roles.
